This is the first of Jason Silva's videos I ever viewed, a month ago today, and I've become a huge Jason Silva since, watching dozens of his videos on YouTube. Jason's exuberant brilliance is transformational.
Quite incredible. I do get the feeling we will be becoming symbiotic beings with our entire existence enmeshed together with AI. Most people's concerns have been about artistic or capitalistic effects but it is interesting to consider what may happen socially and psychologically as this relationship progresses. Not everyone will be able to handle that profound of a transition nor will everyone want to. If all of society is transformed in every way what happens to those "left behind"? Will there be uprisings by people with extreme technological dysphoria and a loss of sense of self or fundamental moorings in society? Given the developments of just the last few months, imagine 10 to 20 years in the future. To say AI is disruptive would be an understatement. There will never be going back, we are forever changed as a species. Will it be for the better? I'll refrain my answer. :)
It can be terrifying and breathtaking but we need to make sense of a future in which our collaborators are strange mirror machines of ourselves. Thank you so much for all your genius theories. A combination of all the greatest minds and artists in the world👍😇👑💝💖🌟♾️
Your brain fascinates me. And yes I agree… imagination is very powerful . So many inventors had wonderful imagination defying all odds. Without their fortitude and courage to go out on a limb and try new things, take chances, would have only left our beautiful world very dark and boring. We need to work together , imagine and build upon everything … including AI. Only thing to fear is fear itself … 🌻🌷🌺🌸🌻🌹🌼

I’ve been in the internet marketing and personal development space for 13 years now, I accidentally landed here from answering a Craigslist Ad for a job filming a seminar. Filmmaker at heart. I saw opportunity to merge filmmaking, personal development and internet marketing. I embraced the opportunity even greater as I was just denied membership into the DGA because my headshot was not to spec.. it was an 8x10 printed on 8.5x11.5 sheet of paper. I wasn't very happy, so I knew this was my sign. I thought the seminar was a joke, until the speaker refered to Les Brown and Tony Robbins as his friends. Then I shut up and listened - I WAS IN THE RIGHT ROOM. Those were some of my mentors from online. The gods were speaking.
Now you can only imagine some of behind the scenes of the algorithms that run the social media platforms and all things for targeted marketing. I’ve seen the tools be used for good and extreme bad. Still I come out on top and fly around over the bigger picture.
Of many roles in life I use to be a graphic designer and illustrator, one of my degree studies is in that. I’ve also been video editing for 27 years. I Imagine that technology is a complete extension of my soul, it has to be, I've designed it to be, utilizing the tool to create what is in my mind. I am a filmmaker because of my childhood dramas, I thought if no one can see what is occuring here, one day I will show the world and teach the world of monsters and how we can defeat them. THESE TOOLS ARE MASSIVE. Dreams to reality, But, the editing software can’t even keep up with how fast I can edit or how fast my mind processes.
With all that background said (I find and create a lot of meaning around me having to tell that - HOW DID WE GET TO THIS MOMENT of thought?) here are my thoughts:
Like any tool, it will be used for good and bad. I would rather save my energy and mind capacity for the good of this tool and UTILIZE THE TOOL and maximize my energy, mind and time for those things that deserve my attention, clients that need it, and where I am called to.
Cheat Code FOR SURE. I don’t think it invalidates the creative impulse at all, I think it is a complete amplification, extension, and any artist, as an artist at soul, hopefully embraces the opportunity to utilize and perhaps rise to a greater calling and level of artist.
I just thought of this too, its like a PURIFICATION of my mind, allowing me to reboot, taking off my overload of data, shoot if this can keep up with me... wow (letting me release the burdens of all the creative thoughts to execute now to create, frees the mind with new creative space).
For taking over the Artist, the skill and the labor….. Those that seek a true artist will find the true artist. Those that are seeking a short cut and run to AI, let them. There are billions of people in this world, and if people have the desire and the will to become what they want to become - so they shall become.
Yes massively disruptive… but can I here typing embody myself with fear of the inevitable, post about it, rant about it, hate about it, rage about it… Many are unfortunately… Jesse Elder said something pretty brilliant… (not exact, but the essence) “THOSE THAT FEAR AI AND FEAR LOOSING THEIR JOBS TO ROBOTS, are robots themselves walking around following orders, do this do that turn this way turn that.”
Just last week I was frustrated because I am creating my website for my Musical - I wanted something I could have somewhat digitally tangible to inspire me and also create a “email sign up” and start promoting my website…..
BUT
I have no actors yet
I have no access to a stage at the second
I don’t have time to draw and it would prob look like crap
I want it now, I want to see it ALIVE NOW, besides if I wait I’ll probably put it on the back burner, and I don’t want to do that
So I thought OMG - lets test the AI.
BAM - 1 hour later - the machine and I finally did it, I was blown away - my vision and AN UPGRADED one = to life, but it didn’t bring it fully to life, I had to take 3 final photos and bring it into photoshop and make it FINAL, though still not final - its tangible. It took me 4 hours and 3 hours with AI to get something that I nearly liked… now 3 hours of frustration pressing buttons trying to guide it——- URGH.
AI will never replace a human, unless you believe it will.
This is an extension to amplify. To cut the time in half. To give me more time to create all I want to create before I die. If I truly took each moment creating and nothing else I would never finish all I want to create now until I did. AI just might help me 10000x my speed. WOW.

Many people in my industry are using AI to produce scripts, and marketing ads, NOW I think its great, but I am so confident in my being and message, I think that is just silly, maybe for some creative sparks - BUT ULTIMATELY THOSE DOING THIS - WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN THEY ARE ON THE SPOT OR NEED TO RISE TO THE CALLING OF THEIR COMMUNITY and they are fearful to show up - well that is on them and those will have to learn a lesson as we all are learning. I am captivated at the reactions and just stepping back and enjoying the play!

Quite incredible. I do get the feeling we will be becoming symbiotic beings with our entire existence enmeshed together with AI.
